We have been reading over this article on ReadWriteWeb (A great resource by the way) and as most who are following the social media movement have been wondering, "How does Twitter monetise"

Well it seems as most would have through that they will be adding an advertising platform at some stage, I would also imagine in the near future.

Twitter Sees Green: Ad Platform 'Imminent'

The question all along has been - "how will Twitter monetize?" and it looks like we have at least one answer today. According to an article in MediaPost, the release of a Twitter ad platform is "imminent" and we'll likely signs of it on our Twitter feeds within a month.
According to the article, Anamitra Banerji told MediaPost
after a meeting Monday, "We are working on an ad platform, but it's only in the test phase."

We went to a social media marketing talk last night by Francois Muscat from WSI on how we should be using social media to market our businesses. admittedly, a fair amount of information shared we already knew, purely cause we're in the web application development business but certainly a load more information on how to actually use it to your advantage, VERY interesting.

SI Works is partnered with WSI who takes care of all our search Engine Marketing needs and we've had fantastic results.

Some interesting facts that came about last night.

  • Every 1 minute of the day 30 hours of Video is being uploaded to youtube
  • Over 6000 images get uploaded to Flickr per minute
