A couple of days ago Google released a new experimental public DNS resolver.

Many people use OpenDNS as their public DNS server, we use them as fail overs for our dedicated servers. Unfortunately for us South Africa's internet is not yet as stable as we would like. 

From Initial tests access to Google's DNS servers is slightly faster with less latency than those of OpenDNS.

If your like us and host quite a few servers then having reliable and up to date DNS servers is important.

We'll be running a few tests over the next couple of weeks to see how these services respond.Just one more step in the Google domination.
